Pros
Solid sound from the television speakers. If you have been around many flat panel 42 HD LCD TV, you already know that this is a major achievement. Generally speaking, to get quality sound requires the addition of a surround sound system.
Having picture in picture in a 42 HD LCD TV is also a rare find, it seem manufacturers save this feature for their larger more expensive models. And if you have a channel surfer in your home this is a must have.
High definition is the wave of the future and in order to get the most out of it you will want to have HDMI hook ups. Many sets today have at least one but this model comes with an impressive four HDMI. A high definition satellite and a new game system will take two ports right off jump street and with more HD products bound for the retail sector you will want to be prepared.
Cons
Some of the HDMI hook ups on this 42 HD LCD TV are underneath. Be prepared to need a neck rub if you have to use these ports.
The least favored thing about this set is the remote control. The buttons are counter intuitive; instead of a menu button, you have a large orange V button in the middle of the remote.

Overall
