Photography and video enthusiasts will all tell you that getting that perfect shot can be difficult.

Pros

Price is the first bright spot on the Ambico tripod, this unit is a full several hundred dollars cheaper than other models.

As discussed above the main reason for using an Ambico tripod is to eliminate shake while filming or taking still shots. For this a tripod must be sturdy and not shaken by a slight breeze, the Ambico tripod covers this requirement quite well.

Generally speaking, to get the kind of stability you need a tripod is heavy if not downright bulky; however, this is not the case with the Ambico tripod. The unit is surprisingly lightweight and sturdy.

Cons

Several customers have had issue with the legs falling off. One customer was walking along and the leg released and was lost. Thinking this was a onetime deal, they replaced the Ambico tripod and shortly had the same experience, seem to be lacking in this department.

Lifetime warranty may be a misnomer, another customer who had the Ambico tripod for about three years had a problem with a broken crank, and this is an essential piece used for raising the tripod.

After several emails to the company, the unit is still not fixed and they have had no response.

Overall

When something that is normally very expensive shows up on the radar very cheap this is a good indication that the workmanship or raw materials are lacking. This seems to be the case with this tripod.

There are several reviews stating how weak and prone to breaking this product it. Not a recommended tripod.
