Pros

Where to begin with all the pros of the Archos Media player? The first of course is the replaceable battery. This may seem to be an insignificant thing, however just have a battery malfunction on a unit where the battery is built in! The ability to change the battery puts the user in control.

The 604 is fully compatible with DVD quality video on demand or online music stores. Leaving you free to download music and videos without having to put them in your computer first. You can also record directly from the television with the Archos media player with the optional DVR station. Never miss another episode of your favorite program, plus you can skip through commercials!

If you do not have time to watch movies and videos, the Archos media player is also an mp3 player. Listen to your favorite music all day long.

Cons

Archos media player 604 is portable however; it will not fit in your pocket. This unit is better suited to a handbag or brief case.

The unit does not come with video cables for television playback. Of course the unit was created for video to go not to stay but you can purchase an add on that makes the Archos media player a fully functional DVR.

Not a great exercise companion, it is too big and bulky and the 30 GB hard drive would not hold up well to heavy movement.

Conclusion
