They have brought to market some very innovative products over the last few years and raised the bar on music and media players. Never ones to rest on their laurels they have created the Archos multimedia player to end all.

Pros

The Archos multimedia camcorder lets you listen to your music anywhere with the convenience of being able to catch those special moments on video. Plus you can take still photos as well. For a camcorder, this device is tiny, it measures .7 “thick and 4.1” wide. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket but offers 20 GB of storage. This is amazing no matter how you look at it.

Cons

Battery life is lacking all the way around. Many of the top mp3 players are offering as much as 30 hours of audio playback time, and the two-hour recording time is pathetic.

While the camcorder takes great video on the right, setting this is not a device to replace your digital camera. At less than 2 mega pixels, the still pictures leave much to be desired.

With a player this small, you would think that a wrist strap would be a no brainer. Apparently not as there is no place on the Archos multimedia player for one.

Overall

There are a few things people were less than thrilled with, however even those who pointed these issues out were satisfied with the product. It could be that the product is so unique people are willing to overlook the few shortcomings. Great video, perfect audio playback and more than enough room for all kinds of media come together to make this a good purchase.
