These Belkin routers offer the user the ability to set up an extremely fast wireless internet network. The 802.11n Draft 2.0 technology offers up to 300 Mbps of data throughput. If you have, a household of demanding internet users this is the router for you.

Whenever new technology hits the market one key component to customer satisfaction is backwards compatibility. No one wants to have to update an entire computer network in order to use Belkin routers or any other routers for that matter. With this wireless router, you can still use many old computers and peripherals.

In this age of identity theft security is absolutely key. With the click of a button, you can enable your Wi-Fi protected security. In addition, these Belkin routers offer you 256-bit WPA/WPA2-Personal, and 64-bit and 128-bit WEP encryption.

The whole idea behind Belkin routers is sharing; you share internet connection and devices with all the computers in the house. This router also comes with a USB port so that you can connect a thumb drive or other portable storage device and share it with all the computers on your network. Cons

If you are not somewhat of an expert at setting up a network, you may need to seek outside assistance. For an above average user with several computers and a game system the set up went about six hours.

The web interface with these Belkin routers can be quirky, you may notice times when it seems nothing is happening or weird webpage configurations. This could be a firmware bug it is not clear what is causing the problem.

Overall

Customer reviews are fairly split on this product, about half were happy with the purchase while the others had mild to severe problems. Since this is a more advanced piece of technology, the answer may lie in undiscovered bugs or users who are not familiar with the sophistication. Overall if you are knowledgeable about computers and networks these Belkin routers are best in their class hands down, if you are new to the process you may want to look elsewhere.
