The best binoculars are a statement that is hard to quantify. Binoculars come in a wide variety of sizes, composition, and uses and it is hard to say there is one set that is better than all the rest.

You may need the best binoculars for bird watching while someone else may want the best binoculars for stargazing in the early evening.

Hard as it is to pinpoint the best pair for everyone, there is a brand of binoculars that stands taller than most of the competition. Swarovski binoculars are generally accepted as the best among top name optics.

Pros

You might not think that overall ratings would be impacted much by the ease of holding your binoculars. However, this is the biggest complaint among many binocular users and a decided advantage for the Swarovski binoculars. Instead of a solid center shaft, these binoculars have an empty space between the barrels. This makes them a cinch to grab, even with one hand, and use.

One thing the best binoculars in the field all have going for them is something users call transparency. No, the binoculars are not see through! What happens is as you place these to your eyes the binoculars seem to fade away, as if they are no longer there. This transports you to whatever it is you are looking at, almost like magic. There are absolutely no reported deficiencies with the best binoculars from Swarovski. However, you will pay through the nose for the privilege of using these optics. Online price for the EL Swarovski binoculars in a massive $1600 plus! This is definitely not chump change, and there appears to be no discrepancy in pricing from online to brick and mortar stores. If you want the best binoculars, you will shell out some serious cash.

Bottom Line

The best binoculars is a relative term, but the example above is about as close to overall best as you will find. If you have no problem with the high price tag, these are a great pair.
