If you have ever purchased a new digital camera, you know they often come with their own photo editing software.

In the case of Cannon, Photo Stitch is the proprietary editing software that comes with many of their digital cameras.

The question is often is the photo editing software that comes with your camera the best possible software you can use.

Often times it will work the best with your particular camera, but with the Canon Photo Stitch software, you get a program that allows you to “stitch” photos together to create panoramic views, also known as mosaicing.

Most Canon compact cameras have this neat feature built into the camera and the Canon Photo Stitch software comes free with the unit. This is a very cool piece of software if you are into creating large panoramic shots.

Have you ever been on vacation and wanted a 360-degree shot of an amazing view? With Canon Photo Stitch, you will be able to reproduce these types of images when you get home! Think of it an all around view of the lovely beach you visited over the summer.

Perhaps you work too much to vacation, certain career paths can benefit from the Canon Photo Stitch software as well. Real estate agents can create great sales tools with the ability to take panoramic shots of lovely properties they have listed.

The more a potential buyer can see on the front end the more likely you are to get them to the property in person.

You may be interested to know that the Canon Photo stitch software will work with a variety of cameras. It has been shown to work with Nikons and even film scans. Unfortunately, the only way to get the software is to purchase a Canon.

The A530 costs around $150 and is well worth the money just to get the software, however you may be able to find even cheaper models that include it if you shop around.

Bottom Line

Photography can be fun and intense and the Canon Photo Stitch software simply adds another facet to this hobby.

The views you can create are amazing, you can make a long panoramic or with a little tinkering with camera settings create a wide image that takes in much more than an average shot. The choices are all up to you.

The bottom line is this software works, works well and even has an automatic setting. Simply point to the images you want to stitch and the software goes to work creating your masterpiece. This is a highly recommended piece of software and worth the price of a new camera.
