Canon Review
By Anne Ahira
Canon is a company that is probably the most well known for their optical products.
Since 1934, Canon has been in the business of producing business and consumer level imaging products.
These products include cameras, printers, copiers, and various components such as ink and lenses.
Canon applied for 2000 patents last year alone and regularly places in the top five for US patent applications each year.
No Canon review would be complete without looking at some of their impressive digital cameras. Canon makes two basic models, the point and shoot variety and the single lens reflex, SLR camera. Here we will look at what Canon has to offer in both cases.
Canon Power Shot
One of Canon’s most popular point and shoot cameras is the power shot. There have been several generations of this little digital camera. If you are looking for a simple point and shoot camera that will give you truly impressive prints you may be interested in this Canon review.

With 10 mega pixels, this camera will allow you to take images that can be printed up to 13x 9! Even professional photographers are finding that this simple camera has a lot to offer casual and professionals alike.
Canon Rebel
On the other end of the spectrum are the SLR digital cameras. While anyone can use these types of cameras, generally they require a bit more skill than the point and shoot variety. This is a Canon review of the Rebel 12.2 mega pixel camera.
Features
- 12.2-megapixel – captures enough detail for poster-size
- Large 3.0-inch LCD display
- Includes Canon’s EF-S 18-55mm, f3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens
- DIGIC III image processor
- Improved Autofocus and framing rate
- EOS Integrated Cleaning system

- Data Detection ( included software)
- SD/SDHC memory cards

Though this camera is a bit more expensive than many point and shoot digital cameras, do not think the Rebel XSi is a complicated piece of equipment.
This is one of those cameras that offer professional aspects in simple to use device. Couple this wonderful camera with a stabilization lens and you will have near professional images!
A complete Canon review is nearly impossible in a short amount of time. The company has been in business for many years and have produced more than a few fantastic products and probably a few that leave something to be desired.
The bottom line however is this is a company with a lot of experience in the optical field and if you are looking for a new digital camera, SLR camera, picture printer, copier or lenses Canon is a good place to start!
