Standard Features Associated with a Color Copier
By Anne Ahira
There are many standard features associated with a color copier. When choosing this type of electronic device, it is important to know that you have two basic options to choose from.
The first option is the analog copier and the second option is the digital option. While there are many advantages and a few disadvantages to each, the digital color copier is considered to be the most popular type in today’s world.
When shopping for a copier, it is important to understand a little about the most standard features. In this shopping guide, you will learn just that!
The first feature that a color copier sold in today’s market has is the feeder. When it comes to feeder options on this type of copier, you have two basic choices. The first is referred to as the “Automatic Document Feeder”. Many may refer to this as the “ADF” option.
The second feeder option that you have when it comes to color based copiers is referred to as “Recirculating Automatic Document Feeder” or the “RADF” option. If you are shopping for a color copier for the home, it is important that you learn as much as you are able to when it comes to feeder options.
The “Automatic Document Feeder” is a wonderful option if you usually copy a large number of documents. It does not require you to engage in the task of manually placing an original copy on a base of glass, copying that one, taking it out, and putting the next page in that you want to copy and so on. You can simply lay the papers down into a specialized tray and initiate the copying process.
The “Recirculating Automatic Document Feeder” allows you to copy papers that are printed on both sides with ease. You simply lay the papers down in a special feeder and once the first side is copied, it will automatically rotate the paper so that the back side of the paper is copied as well.
The next feature that is common with a color copier is the ability to effectively sort documents that are being copied. In order to enjoy this feature, it is important to select a digital based color copier.
In analog colored copying machines, there are usually several trays in which the print outs are placed. You then must take the time to sort through all of the copies in order to determine their order. The digital machine will do all of this work for you. This will save a lot of time and reduce the complications that are often associated with printing out copies.
As highlighted here, there are a large number of standard features associated with the color copier. By becoming familiar with these features, you will be able to choose one that is appropriate to your needs.
