Creative Audio : Zen X-Fi
By Anne Ahira
Creative Audio has introduced the Zen X-Fi to the delight of their loyal consumers. This device will give you everything that you are looking for in your mp3 player and much much more. The addition of wireless features to the Zen makes this a much improved model for discerning gadget fans.
When you buy your Creative Audio Zen X-Fi, you will only get the most rudimentary accessories with it. There is the standard USB cable, headphones and the software. One thing that you should know about your accessories, however, is that they are not run of the mill accessories. The headphones alone sell for sixty dollars all by themselves. You are, indeed, getting a great value with your Creative Audio Zen X-Fi.
There are additional accessories that you can buy with your Creative Audio Zen X-Fi. A worthwhile investment is a screen protector to keep the scratches off of your device. A leather case is also a nice accessory to have for your mp3 player.
This model Creative Audio mp3 player is the best so far from this manufacturer. It is well built and the design is well thought out. There is a metallic look to the mp3 player, however there is not any metal on the exterior of this device. Previous models of the Zen had a toy like look and feel. This Zen is by far much more substantial and actually looks like a real grown up toy.
The Creative Audio Zen X-Fi has an easy to use interface that will allow you to jump right in with your music management. You can configure your user menu in any way that you want with this device. This means that you can eliminate any features that you don’t want on your home screen and make some of the features in the sub menus that you use frequently to the home screen.
The wireless feature on the Creative Audio Zen X-Fi is an outstanding addition to the Zen player. Users have been longing for this feature on their mp3 player from Creative Audio and previous attempts by the company went by the wayside. With this device they seem to have worked out all of the problems. If you are looking for a way to connect wirelessly on the go, the Zen X-Fi will do the trick.
This mp3 player features an FM tuner and voice recorder along with a photo viewer. Like most of these players the radio reception is not great, but it is a nice addition to have on your player. The photo viewer is mostly the same as the previous model of the Zen. You will have the ability to create and view slide shows with music added.
You get a pretty good amount of battery life on the Creative Audio Zen X-Fi. For average use on the player using many of the features regularly, you should realistically get about eighteen hours on a battery.
