Digital Projectors
By Anne Ahira
Digital Projectors are becoming more and more popular in today’s home entertainment market.
There are several things to consider when you are looming into a purchase of one of these units and we’re going to cover that right now so you know what to look for and what may or may not be of importance to you when making your final purchasing decision.
Remember that all Digital Projectors, whether they are for business or for home usage use replaceable lamps to send or project the image.
Depending on how long you use them at a time, room temperature and humidity levels, these lamps can last from 2,000 to 4,000 hours before they will need to be replaced. This is an area that can get expensive because these lamps are not at all cheap and can run $300 or more per each bulb.
When considering your needs for a Digital Projectors you will need to consider the resolution that you need to get the job done. Remember the higher the quality of the image the more you can expect to spend on the projector. Like everything else, better is more costly.
You will want to consider both the size and ambient light in your room when choosing your Digital Projector and keep in mind that the contrast ratio that you decide on will have a dramatic effect on clarity and on your overall enjoyment of the unit.
Before you leave the store with your Digital Projector or before you finalize your order if it is on line. Make sure that you have any and all connectors that you might want or need in order to hook the unit up.
It is pointless and frustrating to have it setting there after you get it unpacked only to find out that you needed to get a $5 adapter to make it work and now you have to drive back to the store for it.
Digital Projectors come in various styles and shapes and sizes. You should be keenly aware of your specific needs and purchase the correct size for your needs. If it is to be moved a lot then by all means you should consider a smaller and lighter unit than you might if it is staying in one spot for the rest of its life.
You can use your Digital Projector to send an image to most any light colored wall or ceiling but if you want to get the best possible results out of the unit, you should by all means consider the purchase of a regular projector screen.
They will give you the best and brightest image and you will be happier with it in the long run during the life of your unit.
