To do this without a compatible satellite box all you have to do is purchase a DVR Station Archos to go with it. This handy device hooks to your television or other tuner allowing you to DVR your favorite show and then take it to work so you can watch it over lunch. The DVR Station Archos does not come with an instruction manual. You will have to go to the site, download and then print to get full instructions on recording.

Does not come with S video cables you must buy those separate if you plan on using S video components with the DVR Station Archos docking station.

The DVR Station Archos is necessary have for owners of personal media players. After initial connections and set up the unit is simple to use and you will never have to miss a movie or television show again. Purchasing this set up will also keep you from having to subscribe to DVR service or TiVo, once you own the equipment you do not have to purchase anything else. You can purchase movies and such from the Archos website but it is not mandatory to enjoy the DVR Station Archos docking station and media players.

Overall

If you are on the go a lot or simply do not have time to watch your favorite programs this device is a miracle. It also works well to keep the children busy on a long ride to grandma’s house and does not require you to purchase expensive equipment for your vehicle. Overall, it is a good buy for those who love media but do not have the schedule to watch what they want.
