Ever been lost? Of course, we all have. But of course we all don’t like to admit it. In fact, for men, stopping at a gas station and asking for direction is considered a capital crime. That is why it is such a relief that companies like Garmin have released easy to use products that can help anyone get from A to B with a minimum of fuss or backseat driving.

Why do people use a Garmin Handheld? Well, not only are they extremely useful when navigating your own backyard, but they can also be used anywhere on the globe. Believe it or not, but these devices are among the most popular travel items on the market today. And while people may complain about how difficult it is to travel these days with security checkpoints in place to nab terrorists, the truth is that Americans are traveling more than they did a decade ago. According to the numbers, US air travel hit a record high in 2007 with over 750 million passengers, which is ten percent more than ten years before.

While it is true that there are literally dozens of GPS devices for visitors to choose from, Garmin has established a sterling reputation over the past decade.

For instance, Garmin was one of the first companies to offer pinpoint technology to consumers. That means that the Garmin Handheld was one of the first devices to grant users the ability to find their exact location. Before this apparatus, users were only offered an ambiguous location of a up to a few hundred feet, which meant that if they were traveling in a crowded city, it was easy enough for them to miss their next turn due to imprecise tracking.

Lastly, the Garmin Handheld is known for its competitive prices. Though it is one of the market leaders, Garmin has always been adamant about offering the lowest prices possible. However, there is a wide price range for most of their products. On the low end of the price range is a no-frills device that provides reliable support and will set consumers back less than one hundred clams, while on the high end are the company offers GPS gadgets that cost upwards of four hundred dollars. Though this article is too short to elucidate all of the discrepancies, the fact is that both units work well and provide users with superior service.
