Hitachi Projector for Homeowners
By Anne Ahira
When it comes to purchasing a television for your home or for your office board room, there are several important considerations. The first and often most important concern for consumers is the price.
And the truth is that even though the technology has improved and prices have come down, LCD big screen televisions are still expensive, and Plasma sets are extremely expensive. Buyers should expect to pay at least two to four thousand dollars for a quality big screen, wall-mounted set.
There is, however, another option. We are talking about projectors. These devices are often only about half the price of the average LCD set and only a third of the cost of a new Plasma. And while it is true that they do have several disadvantages, they also have a few often overlooked advantages.
In this article we are going to discuss the Hitachi projector and why it is a viable alternative for consumers who don’t want to empty their bank accounts on a new LCD or Plasma set.
The Hitachi projector is one of the most popular projectors for businesses, especially large businesses that use them to screen instructional videos for new recruits as well as important presentations.
They are ideal for large boardrooms where a dozens of people will be seated twenty or more feet away from the screen. A Hitachi projector can also be tailored to fit any room with screens starting at 42″ and going all the way up to 96.”
But when it comes to the home market, projectors have never had much success as they consistently lose out to big screen LCD and Plasma sets. Why is this? In our opinion, it is more a result of public perception or really misconception than the reality of new technology.
The fact is that projection sets are often dismissed because people have had bad experiences with them in the past. Or they may have heard that projectors are not ideal for home use.
The number one consumer concern centers around the brightness of display. As you may know, the reason they turn the lights off at the movies is due to the fact that the light the projector emits is simply not powerful enough to produce a clear image when the lights are on. This was of course true with the first Hitachi projector that was sold for the home market.
But as the technology improved and projector lamp power increased so did the brightness of the display, which sharpened the image and enhanced picture quality and resolution.
The Hitachi projector in particular is known for a much brighter display than competing models. And while it is not quite as bright as an LCD or a Plasma set, you will certainly be able to watch television without having to shut off the lights or draw the blinds.
Advantages
As we mentioned, a Hitachi projector is only about half the cost of the cheapest big screen sets. Projectors are also highly portable and only weigh a couple of pounds. So, if you are moving or if a portable projector to give presentations for work, most models will fit easily enough in standard carry on bags.
