When it comes to choosing the best home projectors for your home theater system, you will have several options.

The first thing you will want to decide is how much you can spend on home projectors. These devices can cost anywhere from $400- several thousand dollars depending on the type and brand you choose. Your best bet is to determine a set amount before you begin shopping.

You will next need to choose between CRT, LCD and DLP technology. That can be a bit more confusing, however hopefully the information below will help a bit.

LED Home Projectors

LED home projectors offer the consumer something that is almost priceless, and that is a long lamp life and worry free operation.

This is a great price on home projectors; however, there is one small downside. The 200 ANSI brightness means that picture color and black levels are just not going to be as bright as you might like. This is the price of the different lighting technology and the lower price of the unit.

CRT Projectors

Cathode ray tube or CRT projectors are pretty much the grandfathers of all the other home projectors on the market today. The technology is older but that does not necessarily mean you do not want to give it a try.

Cons

DLP

Digital light processing, (DLP) is common technology for home projectors. In fact, most of the older big screen televisions were considered rear projection televisions and used the DLP technology.
