Klipsch Subwoofer

A home theater system is only as good as its individual parts, if you have a phenomenal receiver and a subpar set of speakers there’s only so much of the receiver can do to overcome this deficiency.

That is why many people feel that no surround sound system is complete without a Klipsch Subwoofer.

The Klipsch Subwoofer 10 inch is hands down one of the best subwoofers on the market today.

Features

  • 10 inch down firing subwoofer speaker
  • BashR amplifier
  • Power-200 W continuous; 420 W dynamic
  • Frequency response 28HZ- 120HZ +/- 3 decibels
  • New industrial design

Pros

A home theater system is not about hearing a movie or music it is about experiencing it.  You want to be surrounded and enveloped in the sound, when a car explodes you want to feel the percussion!  That is exactly what you will experience with the Klipsch Subwoofer.  The extraordinary power of the subwoofer will shake your world.

Some subwoofers are quite directional, you can hear the deep bass but you can tell that is coming from the subwoofer.  With the Klipsch Subwoofer, however the bass actually fills the room.

A home theater system can be totally off the charts but if any piece is difficult to install it takes away from the overall experience.  This subwoofer is a breeze to add to your surround sound system, it even has a handy LED light on the front to let you know what mode it is in.

Subwoofers have a reputation for distorting at high volumes or during high action sequences. The Klipsch Subwoofer however does not, turn up Apocalypse Now all you like and all you will hear is crisp sound and booming bass.

On the flip side many subwoofers performance is nonexistent when the volume is turned down again not with the Klipsch Subwoofer. It adds awesome layering of sound even at low levels.

Cons

When it comes to audio unfortunately, the old saying you get what you pay for applies. In order to have a top of the line home theater system you are going to shell out some serious cash. This subwoofer will run you about $300 give or take a hundred depending on where you purchase it.

Bottom Line

Wonderful subwoofer and all consumers agree it is well worth the price. Why do people go to the movie theater? It is partly because of the big screen but the most compelling reason is the intense sound quality. Let’s face it that screen is so huge at times it can hurt your eyes, but the sound makes it all worth it. This is the very quality people like in their home theater systems and you will be closer than ever when you add a Klipsch Subwoofer to the mix.
