Brightness Levels

If you have ever browsed laser printer paper you have probably noticed, the brightness level listed on the packaging. This measurement refers to the papers light reflecting ability and the brighter the paper the brighter your images will appear on said paper.

Pounds

Another common factor in laser printer paper is the listed poundage. You may see paper listed as 20lb or 25lb. This refers to the thickness of the paper, the larger this number the heavier or thicker your paper will be.

Coated Paper

Laser printer paper that is coated is the best bet for crisp clear prints. Many companies add this coating to cut down on absorption rates because the less ink your paper absorbs the less chance there is of the ink spreading. If it is not advertised as coated paper, chances are great that it is not.
