As the number of internet computers and devices, increase in a home there arises the necessity of a way to connect all of these to the internet at one time. The easiest way to do this is with a device like the Linksys broadband router.
This router allows you to connect many devices and create a home network. You guessed it now both of your pc’s, the laptop and a game system can access the internet and other peripheral devices at the same time!

The Linksys broadband router is truthfully three devices in one. First is the wireless access point, which allows connection to wireless B & G devices as well as various other peripherals. Secondly, it is a four port switch that allows you to connect any and all Ethernet devices to the network, and finally it is a router that ties all the rest of the functions together.
All of these things are nice, but what if the main pc is in the office, the game system is in the den and you want to take your laptop out on the patio? The good news is you can connect all these devices and enjoy the sunset because the Linksys broadband router is wireless.
Pros
This Linksys broadband router will let you surf the internet safely and securely. In order to protect your privacy and your sensitive information the router can encrypt all wireless transmissions.
If you have ever set up a home network or even just networked two pc’s together, you know that some devices can be a total nightmare. You will not have a similar experience with the Linksys broadband router, it is easy to set up and operate. In fact, you have your choice between CD and online instructions and if you are new to the process, the online instructions are the best.
Cons
Several people have had issue with instructions and settings for different devices. You may need some tweaks for certain game systems or computers, which do not come with the software. You will need to search the internet or the company’s official site for more in depth settings.
Many people complained about dropping the internet connection after a few months of use. In most of these cases, a new Cat5 cable solved the problem. It is a cheap fix $5 or less online, but you would think they would ship quality parts with the Linksys broadband router.
Overall
This is a nice broadband wireless router. Set up is simple in most cases and it will not cost you a fortune to have a wireless home network. You should note that this is not a modem/ router combination so if that is something you will need to check out other models.
