If there is a computer device on the market today, be it keyboard, mouse or speakers you can bet that Logitech offers a version. Logitech is one of the largest distributer of third party computer peripherals.

Not only do they offer more reasonably priced device, these units are often of very good quality. This has led to great customer satisfaction.

Logitech keyboards are available in many compositions. There are gaming, ergonomic and even backlit keyboards on the market. Here we will review a few popular models.

Logitech Gaming Keyboard

Computer games are nearly as popular in our society as game systems. The biggest difference in the two is how you navigate the game.

With computer or online games, you must use your keyboard in place of a controller to move through the game. There are game controllers made for computers, but often they are substandard so people prefer using their keyboards.

G11

This is not the first of Logitech keyboards that are built for gamers. This is a scaled down version of their earlier release, the G15. The main difference in these two Logitech keyboards is the G15 had a built in LCD screen and was a bit more expensive.

Features

  • USB
  • Backlit keys
  • 104 standard keys
  • 18 programmable Keys
  • Multimedia
  • Programmable
  • $62

Pros

Backlit keys are one of the unique features of these Logitech keyboards. These keys are surprisingly handy when it comes to typing in the dark and besides they just look cool!

People who are not into online or computer games may not benefit from all the advanced functions, but that is not to say they would not enjoy it.

There are a few elements that have universal appeal like the extra 1.1 USB ports; the media control buttons and the slider that allows you to disable the switch to Windows button.

These Logitech keyboards give you 18 G keys to customize for gaming as well as three profile switcher buttons so you can toggle between the different custom G key layouts. Customers as a whole like this keyboard and gamers love it!

Cons

One thing you will notice right out of the package is the size of this keyboard. It measures 21.5 by 8.5, in comparison; the latest release from Dell is only 17.5 x 6.25 inches.

For some people this was startling, however if you are a gamer you will quickly fall in love with the keyboard.

This is not really a problem per se with the keyboard but something you will have to get used to. Unlike other Logitech keyboards, the G11 has an extra four inches of keys to the left.

This is not a big problem but you may find your hand naturally gravitating to the far side of the board when you type.

Bottom Line

These Logitech keyboards officially address many things gamers want and need while leaving the door open to non-gamers as well.

Removing the LCD screen brought the price down where everyone could play and that was a wise move. This keyboard comes highly recommended even if all you are looking for are lighted keys.
