Why buy a Panasonic Projector?
By Anne Ahira
When it comes to choosing a large screen television, shoppers only have a few choices. They can buy a plasma set, an LCD, or a projector.
Though projectors are the most affordable option, many buyers never even consider them because of past experiences with projectors.
While it is true that projectors have and continue to suffer from a number of serious limitations, the technology has improved to the point where projector picture quality is now on par with other big screen devices.
In this article we are going to take a look at the Panasonic projector, which in our opinion is one of the best projectors on the market today.
What’s the problem?
Have you ever been to a movie theater? Of course, we all have. But have you ever wondered why they turn the lights off when they play the movie? No, it isn’t to give amorous couples the opportunity to canoodle. In fact, the reason they turn the lights off is because no one would be able to watch the picture with them on.
This is due to the fact that traditional projectors simply do not have a powerful enough light source to project images when the lights are on. As you might expect, this can is a major drawback for anyone who wants to purchase a projector for the home.
After all, what do you do when the sun is out? Will you have to close the blinds or install the device in a dank subterranean basement?
Thankfully, as we mentioned, projector technology has come a long way over the past few years. One company in particular has improved the lighting features to the point where projectors can be viewed under nearly any condition.
We are talking of course about Panasonic. The company’s new projectors offer superior picture quality that is due in large part to the improvements in the projector lamp.
What makes the Panasonic projector different?
Instead of simply relying on a powerful projector lamp, the Panasonic projector uses Ambilight technology, which surrounds the set with a glowing light.
As you might imagine this makes it much easier to see images on the screen regardless of lighting conditions. The only requirement is that the set or screen should be hung on a light-colored wall, which will make it far easier to see.
However, it must be noted that the Panasonic projector television still does not have the same brightness as Plasma or LCD sets. In fact, no matter how far the technology comes, it is highly unlikely that a Panasonic projector will be able to match the brightness of either set. But projectors do have a number of important advantages.
First and foremost, a Panasonic projector is far cheaper than a Plasma or even an LCD set. The starting cost for the average unit is only about half the price of an large screen, wall-mounted LCD and only about a third of the cost of a Plasma.
It is also a fact that the Panasonic projector can be tailored to suit any room. That is, the screen size is completely up to you. You can choose a relatively small screen of 42 inches, or a giant one of up to 96 inches.
