For a top quality gaming experience, the kind you can really get in to, you can’t be without a good pc headset.

The latest games have audio effects that are as awesome as their graphics and you need a pc headset to take advantage.

If you are a serious gamer, you know you are going to be going at it for hours, so make sure you find a pc headset that is comfortable to wear for an extended period of time.

The best way to find out what works for you is to go to a store where you can try some on and see the differences. Everybody’s head is a different shape, so everybody will like a slightly different design.

The main thing to look for is the size of the unit. You want it to be big enough for your head, but not oversized so that it is heavy to wear. The better quality units will be lighter weight while still being durable.

Make sure that the padding on the pc headset provides adequate comfort as well. This is not a substitute for a good fit, but it is important around the ear for comfort on long sessions.

While you are testing the headset for comfort, make sure to plug it in to check out the sound quality. This is also a factor that it is easier to judge from reviews, while the fit and comfort is much more of a personal issue.

You need booming bass, especially for games like the Resident Evil series that have lots of weapons fire and a creepy soundtrack. The headset should also have simulated surround sound.

This puts you inside the game with the sound all around. This makes first person shooter really cool and also helps you play because you can clearly hear when a bad guy is sneaking up behind you.

Wearing a pc headset means that you do not bother other people around you. This will cut way down on the complaints over your game playing time. A top of the line set of headphones can return the favor by eliminating the random noise around you not coming from the game.

They do this with noise cancelling technology that uses an external microphone to pick up outside noise then emits the inverse signal at the same strength to cancel the noise out. That means nothing distracts you from getting your game on.

For the ultimate experience, go with a wireless unit that eliminates the cord getting you even deeper into the game.
