When someone is a serious photographer or even a commercial professional photographer many camera names seem to crop up in their chats with other photographers, and the Pentax Digital Camera name seems to come up more often than most lately.

The reason for this is that Pentax, as they have always done, always makes solid efforts toward improving its already high quality products. The Pentax Company does this in order to build new markets and to keep the ones already earned.

For instance when the Pentax Company announced that it was actually releasing the X70, camera buffs and professional photographers alike buzzed with excitement and were very enthusiastic to get one.

Mostly they wanted it due to its 24x mega zoom, its HD movie recording capability and of course its 12 Mpx sensor. They all wanted to be “in” on the birth of the new Pentax Digital Camera.

Pentax now makes many fine digital cameras, thus they are often presenting a new Pentax digital camera to the photography world. Though it will come out in the summer of 2009, this time their newest baby is the K-7 digital SLR camera!

The camera is now equipped with a 14.6 effective Megapixel CMOS sensor, and this new camera is actually up to 25% smaller than other cameras being made by its competitors!

Also, the High Dynamic Range function of this particular Pentax Digital Camera actually takes three exposures and then electronically combines them into one, since it can essentially perform a continuous shoot of 5.2 frames per second!

Surprisingly it can in fact record High Definition movies at 1280 x 720, 30 frames/second, complete with sound, using its M-JPEG codec. This absolutely amazing new Pentax digital camera features a 3-inch LCD display that uses 921,000 pixels.

Professional photographers or serious photographers both will appreciate that the newly presented Pentax digital camera such as this innovative one, have full manual controls, that feature two different RAW formats (PEF, DNG) as well as the exciting, and Pentax unique, shutter+aperture and the sensitivity priority modes.

Pentax K2000 is another new Pentax digital camera that has recently made headlines. It offers a newly engineered compact, lightweight body in order to assure extraordinary portability as well as maneuverability.

Even the battery compartment has been repositioned in order to maximize ergonomics. Also, the camera grip has had to be redesigned to deliver a firmer, more comfortable hold of the new camera body.

It even has a built-in user’s manual that will prove to be highly informative for those who may be unfamiliar with the various operations of a digital SLR camera. As said previously, Pentax always takes an already high quality product and through their very solid efforts find a way of improving their Pentax digital camera each year!
