Power Point Projector
By Anne Ahira
Getting the right power point projector for your home or office can seem like a pretty big task especially if you know little about them. The first thing you need to do is determine what the need is.
Are you a small business that will be doing presentations for 10 people or less, or are you a huge corporation that needs to communicate with 100 or more? For each of these scenarios there is a different power point projector.
That is not to say that a sophisticated one that will work in a huge room on a 25’ screen will not work in your small office, it will but why spend the extra money if you do not have to?
A good all around power point projector is the Epson S5.
Features
- 2000 lumens
- Native SVGA
- 800 x 600 resolution
- Instant on/off
- Weight 5.8 lb
Pros
Often times you may need to take your presentation on the road, visiting other businesses or locations. This power point projector is great for traveling, as it only weighs 5.8 pounds.
Ease of use or set up is always an important factor when talking about electronic devices. The Epson power point projector will set up out of the box in five minutes or less and be ready for your presentation or movie fun!
If you are not particularly savvy with this type of equipment there is a quick start guide that will take mere minutes to read.
The real test of your power point projector is how bright and clear the presentation is. The Epson has 200 lumens; this is an extremely bright projector that will give clear representation on screens up to 25’ in a large room with regular lighting.
The main maintenance concern with power point projectors is the lamp. Many are very expensive and difficult to change, however the Epson offers a 4000-hour bulb and it can easily be changed without removing it from the ceiling.
Overall price has been a huge barrier to small businesses or individuals making use of this technology. On the high end, projectors can be as expensive as $5000 and more, the Epson power point projector is a fraction of that at $550. Definitely a huge savings on price!
Bottom Line
A power point projector is useful in many settings, business, school, church and home theaters.
The problem is until now they have been super expensive, well as often happens when technology progresses prices begin to fall and now for less than the price of an HD big screen television you can have a 25’ display!
For the money the Epson projector is a great buy and will provide hours of productive business or fun.
