Samsung Projection TV
By Anne Ahira
With all the buzz about LCD and plasma televisions, the projection TV gets left out in the cold a bit.
They actually were some of the first higher definition big screen televisions available to the average consumer.

Pros
The main difference between a Samsung projection TV and a plasma or LCD is the way in which the picture is produced on the screen. DLP televisions utilize lights and mirrors to create the image on the screen.
The lamps required in these sets are part of the reason they fell out of favor with consumers, they bulbs had to be replaced and they were not cheap!
However this Samsung projection TV has gone to great lengths to prevent this from happening, they now use LED light engines instead of the lamp and wheel design of older models.
Along with preventing bulb, burn out the removal of the lamp and color wheel also eliminated the rainbow effects that were seen in earlier models. All you have now is bright clear pictures even with inputs that are not full HD quality.
The one thing most everyone complains about is the lack of speakers in the new high definition televisions. In fact it is almost a given that you will have to buy a home theater system or surround sound system to hear these huge televisions.
However this Samsung projection TV has overcome this problem, at half volume this set sounds great.
Complicated remotes that have cryptic buttons are the bane of a big screen owners existence. Apparently someone let Samsung in on this little bit of information and they created an intuitive remote that is a breeze to use for the Samsung projection TV.
When you are looking for a new television the first place you must look is in your own wallet. High definition televisions run from decently priced to “is this thing made of gold?”This price increase will be even more pronounced the bigger the screen gets.
Fortunately, a Samsung projection TV in any size will be cheaper than plasma or LCD. What it boils down to is inch for inch you will get much more screen per dollar with projection screens.
Bottom Line
Only time will tell if the DLP will overcome their reputation for costly replacement bulbs. Of course, this little factor could play to your advantage if you are looking to upgrade from CRT and want as much TV as will fit in your living room.
Look at some of the different sizes available from Samsung projection TV is you will be happy you did.
