Pros
Comparison with similar size models like the Shuffle from Apple put the Sansa 4Gb Clip clearly in the lead. The first noticeable difference is the screen, shuffle neglected to put one on their unit and for many customers that was a deal breaker.
For the audio book lover this unit is a perfect gift. It easily works with Audibles manager allowing you to save your audio files to the player and enjoy your audio book anywhere.
The Sansa 4Gb mp3 player can hold 5 unabridged books at about ten hours each and have plenty of room to spare. This is yet another feature missing from many comparable players.
Drag and drop functionality makes it easy for nearly anyone to put content on the Sansa 4Gb Clip. This in conjunction with Windows Media compatibility is an unbeatable combination.
To sum it all up the Sansa 4Gb Clip is:

Cons
Functionally the Sansa 4Gb Clip is great, no major complaints. It was noted however that the location of the headphone jack is troublesome for two reasons.
One it sticks out the side and increases the width of the player and two the volume control is right beneath it. This is a touch awkward, the jack would have been better placed on the top of the player.
Customer Ratings
Customers are in love with this player! Of all the people that rated the machine, only 20% rated it below four out of five stars.
Problems cited include short life and DOA, in both cases, the units were returnable. Seems like there were some bugs still at the time these were released.
Overall
Music and books on the go for under $50 is hard to beat anyway you look at it. The design is nice and if you get a good one it is really good, however that knife cuts both ways.
