Pros
The Sharp Aquos 52 inch television is a nice set on many levels. First things first however, this set is one of the most reasonably priced LCD’s on the market.
The price range for this model is $1200 – $1900. Inch for inch that is a very reasonable price point when compared to similar models.
Keeping with the money saving theme the Sharp Aquos TV has rated better than all other televisions on energy savings.
Energy star is a universally recognized energy saving stamp of approval and last November they came out with their newest rating system. This system the amount of power used to turn the television on as well as every day use.
This Sharp Aquos TV rated the best among LCD with the exception of the Panasonic Eco. The Eco however saves energy at the expense of picture quality so the Sharp wins overall.
If you are looking for a television, you can set up to your particular taste this is the model for you. The Sharp Aquos TV has seven total picture modes and five of these have color adjustments.
You will be able to adjust the white levels in advanced controls for red, green and blue, which gives you ultimate control over the sets color temperature.
The unit also has a full color management system, image compensation setting and the ability to view in monochrome. This is by far the most customizable television on the market.
Along with great price and multiple adjustment options are the inputs. The more ports a television has the more options you the user have. The Sharp Aquos TV line has an amazing 5 HDMI ports!
This is practically unheard of, most newer sets only have one with the more expensive models adding two or three to the lineup, but five is outstanding.
Overall
This set definitely has lots of potential; the experts agree that it hits the mark in several if not all areas. Apparently, customers agree, most of the feedback has been very positive and the issues noted are well known.
For instance, the viewing angle on the Sharp Aquos TV is not as good as other similar models. This means you cannot set off to the side at a severe angle and still view the unit.
This aside the Sharp Aquos TV is one that will be around for some time and will continue to garner the affection of the consumer.
