Simmons Binoculars
By Anne Ahira
Simmons binoculars are actually a part of a more familiar company called Bushnell.
For years, Bushnell has provided hunters and sport enthusiasts alike the best in premium equipment including the Simmons binoculars line.
Their primary products are optics and imaging for use by sportsman and hunters the world over. David Bushnell founded the company in 1948 while he lived in the Allied occupied country of Japan.

Pros
The 16 times magnification of these Simmons binoculars is among the most powerful in their class. Add to that the 50 MM lens size and you get a good pair of binoculars for evening viewing.
If you’re wondering just how far you can see with these Simmons binoculars you can be assured you will be able to explore the moon, Pleiades and the moons of Jupiter with little problem.
If you are not a stargazer think of it like this, you should have no trouble reading a license plate at 500 yards.
The one thing that assures you of a good viewing is a steady hand, if however you are not quite so steady these Simmons binoculars can easily be used with a tripod or monopod.
Bird watchers will absolutely adore the instant focus, with a touch of a button you can zoom in on a bird as it feeds and then watch it fly away never having to take your eyes off your subject.
If you have ever shopped for good binoculars or Scopes you are aware they are generally high priced. These Simmons binoculars however are not, for around $60.00 you can pick them up new online or at your local retailers. This is a cost effective way for anyone to pick up a new hobby.
Cons
Once you have purchased your new Simmons binoculars you will want to replace the strap. The one that comes with these binoculars is substandard and could cause you to damage them.
You will notice in the list of features that waterproof and fog proof are not listed, this is not an oversight. These are some of the few binoculars that do not have this feature so nature watching or hunting in wet or foggy conditions will be out of the question.
Bottom line
You could do a whole lot worse for a lot more money than you will pay for these Simmons binoculars. They are well priced, function well and will be a joy for some time to come.
