Slik Tripod – Mini

For the avid nature photographer chances are that the best shots are not going to be in your back yard, instead you will be hiking to places unknown while carrying essentials on your back. Lightweight Slik tripods like this one will come in very handy.

Pros

This small lightweight Slik tripod fits easily into your backpack for portability. Given its small stature, this tripod is extremely sturdy, this is likely due to the all-metal construction.

Overall, these are very nice mini Slik tripods; however, they will never replace a full size one.

Slik Professional Universal Deluxe

If you happen to need slightly larger Slik tripods you might want to consider the professional deluxe models this company offers.

Pros

While the maximum load on these Slik tripods is not much more than the previous model there are several differences to account for the doubling in price.

The first is the quick release head, the small post can be left on the camera at all times so you are always ready for the perfect picture opportunity.

These Slik tripods come with a 3 way pan head and bubble level, however if you are not enthused about a pan head it is replaceable. You can choose a ball head for smoother action if you prefer.

Though a bit larger than the mini these are still lightweight and portable Slik tripods that you will have no problem fitting into a suitcase or large back pack.

Slik Tripod – 615-315 Pro

For the individual interested in both video and film there are Slik tripods model number 615-315 pro model.

• Min height – 24 or 15 inches with optional equipment
• Weight 7 pounds
• Titanium alloy construction
• Price – $140

Similar in construction to the other model Slik tripods the main difference here is height and price. The 615-315 will extend to well over six feet tall and are sturdier than ever even at this tall setting.

Bottom Line
