Creative Media Player
By Anne Ahira
Whether you are jamming out during a workout or alleviating boredom on a long commute, personal media players are nice. You can potentially take your entire library of music with you anywhere and anytime.
That all depends on the size of your players’ memory. One with 8 GB of flash memory like the Creative Media player will hold more than enough music and images to keep you occupied for hours.
With a Creative Media player, you can store 2,000 of your favorite songs, 32 hours of video or hundreds of your favorite pictures. Moreover, this is all on a player not longer than your master card!

Pros
A Creative Media player is compatible with many types of music formats without conversion. ITunes, Napster to go and Yahoo Unlimited are just a few of the possible places you can purchase music for this player. This is a big plus over the IPod as it is tied to ITunes. If you come across a format that is not supported there is a good chance the software for the Creative Media player will convert it for you.
The looks of the Creative Media player are very nice, your friends are sure to make comments. Piano black in color and though small has a very sturdy construction. This is important if you are going to be handling the player very often.
The user interface of a Creative Media player is good for some and not for others. The main issue is in the button configuration, they can be a touch tricky to use, however they are far from impossible to figure out.
Cons
The battery life of the Creative Media player is vastly overrated. The advertised 25 hours is more in the neighborhood of 10 or so. That being said ten hours is quite good for any media player, since some of them get no more than 5 hours on a charge.
Packaging is a nightmare; everything is sealed in a blister pack that is like Fort Knox to get into. If you are not careful, you will damage some of the contents just trying to open the package.
Overall
If you are in the market for a media player that you can take with you all the time and that may be subject to a lot of movement, Creative Media players are great. More than enough storage for your files and a convenient SDHC slot for expansion if you have more than average amount of music or video you want to put on the player. This player is available on Amazon for a little over $100.
