Microwave cooking has always been a respectable method of cooking by various ages because it doesn’t involving using a dangerous stove and it isn’t very difficult to use. Still other cooking methods are preferable for certain foods and microwaves are used more often just to heat food.

Others believe that heavily relying on the microwave for cooking isn’t very healthy. One way to find out if microwave cooking is a good choice is by comparing it with the other microwave cooking methods out there.

Recipe Variety….

So many dishes require some work on the stove, but there are also people sharing recipes online that only require the microwave to be used. Most of these recipes are quick, but delicious snacks that do not take so long to prepare. Some real meals can be prepared through microwave cooking as well if you have the right microwave kitchenware. For instance, special bakeware that is microwave-safe allows you to bake cakes in the microwave.

Food Healthiness

This is where many people criticize the health factors of microwaves simply because of the harmful electromagnetic radiation that affects the overall nutritional value of the food. It can even be worse if the microwave isn’t cleaned properly as the leftover food particles can attract harmful bacteria.

However, there are some good sides to microwave cooking if done properly. Vegetables can be cooked better than other methods because the heating is distributed evenly and does not need to be immersed in water like other cooking methods so the vitamins and minerals are intact.

All that is required is a safe wrap or microwave color. This applies to fish as well which is why fish end up being moist after they are heated for the right number of hours. Many of the cooking methods rely on oil, but microwave cooking requires the least amount of oil which eliminates the possibilities of dangerous toxins to be released when the oil is being heavily heated to very high temperatures.

Convenience

Microwaves aren’t very difficult to learn since it only requires simple operating and supervision. Just take note of your microwave’s power and scale the cooking time depending on how powerful your microwave is and the recipe that you are or the food that you are heating.

It is much faster to heat up foods using a microwave and once you find your food tasting perfect, you should be able to cook that same microwave dish every time by just memorizing the microwave timing. Microwaves are also easy to clean by using a soft sponge or cloth combined with dish washing liquid.

Specific Microwave Model Advantages

Some microwave models have higher power consumption than others. Although this can consume more electricity, foods can cook faster. Larger capacity microwaves get an advantage for allowing cooking of larger meals like roasts and turkey and normally have higher power consumptions. Many microwaves have a turn table inside that rotates while the food is being heated. This gives the food even exposure throughout the microwave process.

It is important to find a microwave that is easy to operate and powerful enough to cook more meals. Then you just need to find the right recipes and microwave-safe utilities to evade the health risks while maximizing the convenience of microwave cooking.
