A 32 LCD TV or larger is commonly used for family rooms and of course, the question is HDTV or not? With a 32 LCD TV the options in resolution with HDTV are widened and normally this size screen suits almost any sized room though it might be larger than a small bedroom or seldom used guest room requires as well as more expensive. With the LCD screen and with flat screens available the 32 LCD  TV will take up less room than the old CRT display TVs.

When looking over the choices in 32 LCD TV brands the HDTV resolution choices expand. 720p resolution is rarer than it used to be since 1080p is becoming the industry standard however it can be found, and the price for the lower resolution is somewhat less.

Perhaps a 32 LCD TV with both a high resolution and good looks appeals and the LG 32LH30 32″ 1080p TV might be a contender. It has a very slim line with a swivel stand. This combines looks with mobility.

The resolution is 1920 X 1080, a pc input, 2 speakers and a HDMI input. This 32 LCD TV combines a lot of features and is of a reasonably good size. The speaker quality may not be the best but this TV allows the user to use their own home audio system as well as use it as a PC monitor.

Not sure that a 32 LCD TV with 1080p is what you need? Then perhaps the LG 32LH20 32″  720p LCD is more to your taste. The this 32 LCD TV offers  resolution of 1366 x 768p, a dolby speaker system, and is energy compliant. With the LG 32 LCD TV several options in customizing your TV experience from the sound to the contrast easily.

A 32 LCD TV that is full HDTV capable may well suit some purposes though the cost may be a little more. Vizio offers a 32 LCD TV that is Full HD, the Vizio VA320M 32-Inch Full HD 1080p might be the perfect HDTV for certain shoppers.

It comes with TruSurround high def audio, 2 HDMI inputs 2 composite inputs, a USB port and is energy star compliant. This 32 inch LCD TV has a slender  and good looks. This particular brand is known for its economy, combined with features.

The 32 LCD TV made by Panasonic is a little larger (wider) television and  is very adjustable. The Panasonic TC-32LX85 720p HDTV comes with some attractive features, with the nice sized 32 inch screen, an image aspect ratio of 16:9.

There are two speakers included in the package and 3 HDMI inputs, 2 composite video inputs, an S video and an SD memory card slot. 720p is excellent as far as economy for a first HDTV and upgrading to a 1080p resolution is an option if the shopper finds they like the new technology.

So how do you decide what resolution of HDTV is for you, and is the higher resolution worth the extra cost? A real HDTV fan with experience in the higher end HDTV resolutions may well go with the 1080p 32 LCD TV and be very satisfied. Especially if they plan on using it to display videos and HDTV programming.

On the other hand a shopper new to HDTVs might choose to go with 720p resolution and enjoy the lower cost while seeing what the HDTV rage is all about.

How many peripherals you want to connect to the 32 LCD TV also has a bearing on which one is for you. Some of these brands come with a myriad of input ports and types. Some come with built in tuners that should be considered if the TV shopper plans to capture free HDTV broadcast by local stations.

If not then the built in tuner may not be a deciding factor.  However if connection to a gaming system or PC is planned then the 32 LCD TV selected should have the PC input or the HDMI inputs available to accommodate them.

How well the size of the 32 LCD TV fits the room is also a deal breaker for many. The LCD display allows for more compact and thinner TVs than the old CRT displays did but there are variations in thickness and stands that can make the difference in how well the TV fits the room.

Looks may not be the prime consideration of every person considering a 32 LCD TV purchase but there is a lot of variation in exteriors and some of these brands are just more aesthetically pleasing than others.

On the positive side, the 32 LCD TV can fit a moderately sized living room, or a large bedroom and make viewing easy. There is a lot of variation in not only resolution but input options so they are very flexible as regards use. Anything from a gaming system to a computer monitor to a home media system can be hooked into these TVs with ease. Flexibility is a plus.

Generally a 32 LCD TV is the smallest size that might be usable for family viewing. It is the smallest screen size that offers so many choices by so many brands in resolution and input. It is very reasonably price even for those with more options. Shopping for a 32 LCD TV is basically simple if you can select the HDTV resolution, the rest falls into place.

The choice of a new 32 LCD TV is usually preferred due to the warranty and because technology changes so fast that older models are soon outdated.  The 32 LCD TV with HDTV capability is not a budget breaker for almost anyone and is presents enough options to suit nearly any purpose.

The sound systems are not always of the best quality but with a 32 LCD TV there are plenty of ports and input choices to use your own sound system if you choose. Its a great size TV and a good choice for the person new to HDTV and those who are real HDTV experts.

Samsung 52 inch LCD HDTV

High definition television is fast becoming the number one choice among consumers. Devices like the Sony Play station 3 and various Blue Ray players are moving consumers to be high definition connoisseurs.

In addition, many cable and satellite providers are now offering a wider variety of HD channels. It will not be long until everyone is converted and the CRT television is relegated to the museum along with 8 tracks and vinyl.

Samsung 52 LCD HDTV looks to fill the void left by the high def revolution. Offering true high definition in a large wide screen at a reasonable price.

Features

  • 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
  • Wide screen
  • 178 degree viewing angle
  • Tru surround sound
  • Ports- 3 HDMI, 2 component, S video, USB and RF antenna
  • PIP
  • V chip
  • Swivel stand

Pros

When it comes to high definition, there are variants that the average person may not be aware of. One of those variances is the dynamic contrast ration. In order to be considered HD the ration must be at least 1000:1 as you can see with the Samsung 52 LCD HDTV that ration is 30,000:1. The dynamic contrast ration is the difference between the darkest black and the lightest white and the higher the ratio the crisper and fresh the image will be. This is in part why the Samsung 52 LCD HDTV has such a clear crisp picture.

The Samsung 52 inch LCD HDTV also gets a nod for their great color and tint and well organized menus. You are able to make several customizations without entering any special service menus.

Flat panel televisions are so thin that it is difficult for the manufacturer to fit quality speakers. This usually means the consumer is doomed to purchasing a surround sound unit. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is nice not to have to especially when you fork out more than a grand for the television.

Cons

That leads into the first con, while the sound quality is good on the Samsung 52 inch  LCD HDTV you may have to spend a little time adjusting it from the factory settings. Out of the box, the sound may be a bit hollow.

Overall

The Samsung 52 inch LCD HDTV is a good all around television that customers are very satisfied with. LCD sets have come along nicely and are now comparable to plasma in most instances. You can get great picture quality with no fear of burn in and generally much cheaper. For instance, this set currently sells on Amazon for less than $2,000, and on similar sites like Jr.com in the same ballpark.
