This VHS DVD recorder will not record protected videos. These are generally major motion pictures produced after 1986, when copy guard was begun. Although older movies should do just fine.
Keep a few trial disks; you will want to experiment with the different recording speeds to find which is the best. You may find some discrepancy in audio until you find the correct speed.
Overall
