Zeiss Binoculars

By Anne Ahira

Looking out for birds and viewing beautiful scenery can be fun for the whole family. Zeiss binoculars are some of the most well made on the market today. If someone has a camera phone from Nokia or Sony, they know how well Zeiss makes their lenses for cameras and other devices.

Starting at around $700, Zeiss binoculars are also some of the most expensive on the market. What buyers get is a pair of binoculars that will last a lifetime and provide clarity not available at a lower price range. Zeiss binoculars are high in price, but are just as high in quality.

There are four types of Zeiss binoculars: extended, all purpose, compact, and pocket. The first two are rather bulky, but provide a greater zoom to view long distances. The pocket and compact models are great for hikers, but they’re not able to zoom in as much. Also, there are two product lines for different customers.

Zeiss’ Victory line offers high performance viewing for sightseers and that creepy guy living near the beach. For the outdoorsmen, Conquest offers rugged designs with weatherproofing and even camouflage to sweeten the deal. Both offer the same types to fit the buyer’s needs.

The view is breath taking through them. However, the extended sizes can tire out someone’s arms because of the weight. This may force some to use a tripod or trade them in for the all-purpose or something smaller.

Focusing the Zeiss binoculars are pretty simple, but may take an extra second to get it perfect. That’s not a major problem after the user sees a landscape or animal through them. Jaws drop once something comes into view. Zeiss binoculars are made with the same level of quality as their camera lenses and rifle scopes.

The only downside is the price. From $700 to a whopping $3,000, these are not for those on a budget what so ever. Some can be seen shedding a tear over the price tag. Upon closer inspection, Zeiss puts a lot of advanced technology into every pair and lens they create. Even though the price range is sky high, the amount of work done to achieve the clarity is extremely hard to criticize without looking like an idiot. However, the Zeiss binoculars around $700 are a worthy choice if the buyer doesn’t mind saving up for a pair.

For the lucky few that can spend the money, Zeiss binoculars are just that incredible. The price and weight of larger pairs drive a lot of buyers elsewhere. If they can make the same quality product for less, these binoculars could fly off the shelves within seconds of the store opening. The view is great, the focusing is easy to learn, and the rest will probably have some drooling if mentioned. Unfortunately, bargain hunters will have to add it to their wish lists on Amazon until they go on sale or when they get a bonus from work. Zeiss binoculars are worth a look at least to see what’s so special about them.
